Ce coffret 5 CD fait suite au précédent coffret Archives et explore une des périodes les plus créatives de sa carrière. Il présente Joni Mitchell en tant que songwriter et artiste de scène. Près de 6 heures de musique, dont de nombreux inédits, parmi lesquels 5 titres enregistrés lors de la création de l'album Blue (le titre Hunter, les versions alternatives de River et Urge For Going, les démos A Case Of You et California), ainsi que la chanson Jesus, captée en 1969 chez son amie Jane Lurie à Chelsea. Ce coffret c'est aussi des performances live : son premier concert au Carnegie Hall en février 1969, sa prestation au Hibou Coffee House dOttawa en 1968 et son concert au Paris Theatre (Londres-1970). Durant ce concert diffusé par la BBC, Joni Mitchell avait interprèté Carey, River, My Old Man et avec James Taylor A Case Of You et California.
